XVAPE ARIA Dry Herb and Concentrate Vaporizer Review

By Caleb C.
XVAPE vaporizers are a leading brand of portable vaporizer products, and their newest model is the XVAPE ARIA. Read our review to see why you should consider the XVAPE ARIA vaporizer for your on the go dry herb and concentrate consumption.

XVAPE Company

Since 2010, XVAPE has been a leading innovator in the vaporizer industry. Their newest product is the result of nearly a decade of in-depth experience. Nowadays, XVAPE is known for selling vaporizers for the entire spectrum of vaporized consumption: from concentrates to dry herb.

For this review, XVAPE sent over their newest arrival: The XVAPE ARiA. The ARIA is XVAPE’s latest handheld model and enters the market as a strong contender. Besides the Vista Mini, XVAPE also sells many dedicated on the go models for concentrates and botanicals such as the XVAPE Starry 3.0 or the XVAPE Vista Mini, which we’ve also done a review on.

The XVAPE ARIA comes in a uniform black and red XVAPE box which features a picture of the ARIA on the cover. The side of the box lists out the items that the buyer can expect inside the box: the ARiA, a USB cable charger, 3 alcohol cotton pads, 3 cotton swabs, a concentrate pad, 2 mouthpiece caps, a small brush, and 4 mesh screens. When you open the box, you’ll see the ARIA snuggly set in the cover and the accompanying accessories all in a black box at the bottom.

Using the XVAPE ARIA is simple and intuitive. Three presses of the button turns it on and the chamber automatically starts heating to the set temperature. Don’t like the set temperature? Quickly change the temperature with successive pushes of the button or just hold it down. The screen shows a countdown of the time left in the session. Sessions are automatically 5 minutes long and if your hands and lips can handle the heat, feel free to go for two sessions back to back - more 2 sessions back to back isn’t recommended though.

I would be remiss if I didn’t take the time to rave about the discreet scraping tool that comes with the XVAPE ARIA. I’ve been using handheld dry herb vaporizers since 2013 and this is the first time that I’ve seen such a useful feature - which in hindsight seems so obvious. I won’t be surprised if other handheld vaporizers start taking note of this and adding in a storage compartment for their scraping tools.

I loaded the XVAPE ARIA up with about half a gram of ground-up flower and packed it down finely with my finger. I found that packing it too tight would result in less airflow while packing it too loosely did the same thing because loose dry herb could make its way into the mouthpiece. Notably though, even in such instances, the XVAPE ARIA came with a secondary screen to prevent lightly toasted scooby snacks from entering your mouth. I greatly appreciate this design - along with the chamber-on-top design that the ARIA has to offer over competitors.

With vaporizers, I personally prefer to start around 340 degrees, give or take 5 degrees depending on how I feel about the vapor. 340 degrees was a perfect temperature for me, I was able to hit the ARIA continuously once it was fully warmed up. I greatly appreciate the vibration of the ARIA when it hits the set temperature - but I was really more impressed with how quickly the temperature rises. After the first session, I upped the temperature by 25 degrees Fahrenheit between each session.

After the 3rd such session, at 390, I let the device cool down and then I open it up and gave it a little mix then pack it down again with my finger. This allows me to hit it again at 390 for the 4th session before moving on. I even tried the ARIA at its max of 464 degrees F and was still able to get a nice flavor and full effect vapor.

After marinating in the aftermath of using the XVAPE ARIA, I decided it was time to check out the concentrate adapter. I put a dab right on top and tossed the metal sponge into the ARIA and fired it up at the same temperatures.

It was very tasty given the inch or so space between the conduction chamber and the mouthpiece. I will be using this device to fully appreciate flavors - both dry herb and concentrates - in the future. Some people like myself enjoy the darker tones of flavor - kind of like the taste of coffee or tea.

Taste: 5/5

Effectiveness: 5/5

Ease of use: 5/5

Overall score: 5/5

XVAPE has raised the bar for dry herb vaporizers with the ARIA. The sleek design and designed effectiveness  - along with ease of cleaning - really make this a must-have item. This item even lets you hit it while it is charging - so just bring a battery pack along and never be without that smooth vapor.
