HRsupplements is a manufacturer of supplements and other sports nutrition and body care products based in Phoenix, Arizona. They create their products in an FDA registered facility that meets all cGMP and other quality control procedure requirements. What this means is that HRsupplements is known for quality and purity and even have their products third party tested to assure that pure quality.
An example of their commitment to their products is that they quarantine and test all incoming raw materials themselves with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy otherwise known as FTIR. Interested supplement users can view certificates of analysis on their Instant COA page.
HRsupplements sent over their Ultimate Relaxation Blend Relax Capsules for review, and I was curious to see how their special blend would affect my relaxation levels.
The Harvest Naturals Relax Capsules came in a white 90 capsule bottle. The package has a relaxing light-toned sky blue, white, and black color scheme that nicely complements the color of the capsule contents. The capsules themselves are regular sized and easy to swallow.
I took two capsules as suggested in the afternoon after finishing up the more demanding parts of my workday. They were easy to swallow with a little bit of water and I was able to take both at once and get right back to work. I figured that the afternoon would be the best time to take the Relax capsules and test out this Ultimate Relaxation Blend.
Within a few hours, I felt way more mentally relaxed. By the time the sun went down, I was still just as relaxed and I greatly enjoyed the fact that the relaxation plateaued instead of peaking and dropping off. By the end of the day, particularly if I’ve been sitting at my computer all day, I find that my restless leg syndrome starts acting up.
This relaxation blend was the first time that I was able to take something that could help with my legs. The suggested use instructions say that you can dose twice per day, but I didn’t find it necessary.
The Ultimate Relaxation Blend contains Niacin, Vitamin B6, 5-HTP, and L-Tryptophan. You’ve probably heard of Niacin, or Vitamin B3, which is known for its ability to reduce cholesterol and improve circulation.
Vitamin B6, or pyridoxine, is known to improve mood because it is used by the body to create the important neurotransmitters: serotonin and dopamine. 5-HTP helps the body create serotonin and also melatonin. While L-Tryptophan is a precursor to 5-HTP and is not naturally occurring in the body.
Those four main vitamins and amino acids are then joined by a host of natural herbal extracts such as chamomile flower, jujube seed, lemon balm, and valerian root. This ultimate blend also includes Gamma-aminobutyric acid and Inositol which also help with the calming effects.
I’ve previously run into the calming effects of some of these blend ingredients before, but never in aggregate. Finding the right combination of herbal supplements for the desired effect is always hard, but HRsupplements has worked out the formula for you. They even suggest stacking the Relax capsules with Beta-Alanine Powder for more effect.
Ease of use: 5/5
Overall score: 4.9/5
